Case Study 1
The King Edmund School
We entered in to a long term partnership with the school. We have replaced all communication cables in the school, and have assisted in the development of a VOIP telephone system to run over the new infrastructure.
We re-cabled the school and provided every classroom with a projector and interactive whiteboard
There were a number of challenges along the way, the buildings were a mixture of traditional and modern buildings. The traditional buildings built in the 1950’s meant that we had to be a little more creative. We did not have the drop down ceilings that we are all so used to today. Instead we had to drill through brick walls and ceilings to achieve our objective.
We worked with the schools management IT team to determine their precise needs to ensure the system we installed was a fast as possible improving response times.
We worked outside of school hours during the evenings to ensure that the job was brought in on time to enable the building to be used during normal school hours.
We are pleased with our contribution to upgrading the schools IT systems.
The School were kind enough to provide us with the following comments:-
“The King Edmund School is pleased to support Scotech, who have been providing their services to this school for several years. Their personnel are highly skilled, efficient and effective and pride themselves in a high quality of work and installation. This school has over 900 computers and 70 interactive whiteboards and the complex cabling across a number of buildings to provide the computer data points and to install the IWB’s has been complex and, at times, difficult. The advice and expert knowledge offered has proven invaluable.
Their attendance has always been prompt and all completion dates have been duly met.
I recommend them unreservedly.”
